I have been posting sporadic entries this year to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the 45 single. With Thanksgiving now past, I am going to finish the year up (as well as this series) with Christmas/Holiday record trivia. It’s been a fun look back in to the past of the songs that had the ability to spin us “right round, baby, right round like a record, baby.”

“All I Want For Christmas Is You” (1994) by Mariah Carey became the first ringtone to achieve an RIAA gold certification for sales of over 500,000 (in 2006). The ringtone was even more popular than her longing-in-holiday message.
