Digital eye candy! Sometimes it’s not just the skill to manipulate a photo that counts, but the mind-set behind the finished product. When Jon first exposed me to Erik Johansson‘s work I realized that I was drawn to the concepts as much as the end results.

The young photographer is located in Gothenburg, Sweden and lists his inspirations as M.C. Escher, Salvador Dali and René Magritte. When I first contacted him about getting permission to post some of his work on my blog, I got an auto response email that said, “I’m in Paris, I’ll be back on Monday.” Talk about the ultimate away message.
