Digital eye candy! Sometimes it’s not just the skill to manipulate a photo that counts, but the mind-set behind the finished product. When Jon first exposed me to Erik Johansson‘s work I realized that I was drawn to the concepts as much as the end results.

“vertical turn”
The young photographer is located in Gothenburg, Sweden and lists his inspirations as M.C. Escher, Salvador Dali and RenĂ© Magritte. When I first contacted him about getting permission to post some of his work on my blog, I got an auto response email that said, “I’m in Paris, I’ll be back on Monday.” Talk about the ultimate away message.

Check out more of his work here and then if you want, you can follow him on Twitter.
Makes me wanna break every rule.
Ah eye candy, Ah ah eye candy.

Great idea he has. The execution must be numbing, but the results are very cool. Thanks for turning me on to this photographer, Joe.
